The book, by Sarah Burdett and Margaret Prior, is on sale priced £15 at the Heritage Centre in Clarence Road (tel: 280310), the County Press shop in Pyle Street, Newport and at Waterstone’s Newport store.
The CLASSIC BOAT MUSEUM has completed its move to Albany Road, East Cowes. A fascinating collection of lovingly restored vessels is on display.
EAST COWES: GREEN TOWN.. this group looks to identify projects which could be of economic and environmental benefit to the town. One of the greatest benefits would be the involvement of the local community and the enthusiasm and sense of well-being and achievement that this can generate for individuals and groups. The Green Town group held a very successful +SUSTAINABILITY ROADSHOW, the first of a series around the Island, on Sunday 25th March.
WAITROSE COMMUNITY MATTERS FUND: The “Friends” were one of the three beneficiaries of the fund for the month of February 2012 and we have just been presented with a cheque for £252. MANY THANKS TO WAITROSE: we will be putting this to good use!
