The Friends of East Cowes Cemetery held their second open on the 25th June 2006. The main reason for our open day was to unveil the newly restored cemetery gates. Details of this element of the project will be published on the website soon.
This was also the first event since the inaugural AGM of the Friends of East Cowes.
The day was well attended and many people were able to find out more about the cemetery project as well as helping some people find information about their relatives or friends who are buried in the cemetery.
